Non-traditional models may also be used in consulting work with great success.
Nadine is often heard saying that if you only have a hammer everything begins to look like a nail and she prefers to have a large tool box of tools at her disposal so she can use the appropriate tool to fit the situation. Ericksonian Hypnotherapy was developed by renowned hypnotherapist, Milton Erickson, MD, famous for his unique approach to the phenomenon of hypnosis. By keeping his work completely client centered, he was able to achieve effective and consistent results for his patients. Utilizing a very naturalistic state of focused concentration or selective thinking, special communication including metaphor, confusion techniques, and the hypnotic trance, Dr. Erickson enabled his patients to tap into their inner consciousness, wherein the answers and resources lie needed to improve the quality of life. Nadine has been trained in both Traditional and Ericksonian Hypnosis and is a Trainer in this field.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
When applied properly, EFT balances the flow of energy within the meridian pathways using a simple tapping procedure applied to a small group of acupuncture points located on the face, hand and trunk of the body. The EFT procedure will restore balance and movement of this energy system.
It is one of the original arts and science of psychology, physical healing and spiritual development of the ancient Hawaiian people. Huna was originally called Ho’omana. Ho’o means to make. Mana means life force, equivalent to Ki (as in Aikido), Chi (as in Tai Chi), Shakti in the Sanskrit language or Qi as in Qigong. Taken together the word Ho’omana means empowerment or to empower. Nadine is a Student and Trainer of Huna.
Nutrition as the key to good health is the all-embracing fundamental principle used since the time of the famous Greek doctor and founder of western medicine, Hippocrates, to help people of all ages to stay at their personal peak of energy and vitality. In addition to dietary and nutritional advice, recommendations may include guidance on natural detoxification, exercise and lifestyle. Nadine is trained in Iridology and nutrition.
Meditation and Guided Visualization
Nadine has been a student and practitioner of meditation since she was 16. There are many ways to meditate and which particular meditation is best, is determined by the situation, person and focus required. Nadine has studied and trained in many forms of meditation. Visualization is a simple, deeply relaxing and pleasurable technique used to create or re-program habits. Visualization is a normal and natural process which everyone uses. It is simply a matter of using thoughts and images to access the unconscious aspects and resources of the mind.
Nadine has studied many types of energy work some you may be familiar with: She is a Reiki Master of the Usui lineage. It is distinctive among energy therapies in its emphasis on self-healing, its spiritual principles, and its accreditation of healers through a system of initiation. Reiki is used in the healing of emotional and spiritual as well as physical pain through the transmission of universal life energy, called “rei-ki” in Japanese.
Polarity Therapy is a natural health care methodology that works with the Human Energy Field. Energy fields and currents exist everywhere in nature. Polarity Therapy asserts that the flow and balance of energy in the human body is the foundation of good health.
Therapeutic touch is a non-invasive method of healing derived from an ancient laying-on of hands technique used in many hospitals by nurses today.
Chakra Healing, while the word “chakra” has Hindu (Sanskrit) roots, the energy involved is not partial to any particular religion. It is a universal energy, and all people inhabiting physical bodies on this earth have them. The chakras and other smaller energy vortexes (such as acupuncture points) are like openings and channels for universal energy to flow into and out of the aura.
