Where is Victoria? Victoria is located just 85 miles northwest of Seattle, at the southernmost tip of Vancouver Island, off the coast of British Columbia, Canada.
What's the weather like? Victoria is in a "sub-Mediterranean" climatic zone with moderate temperatures all year. Average temperature in January is 38 F (3 C). Spring blossoms and warmer weather begin in February. Summer is warm and dry with temperatures from 65-90 F (18-32 C).
What is there to see? Rated by Condé Nast as the friendliest tourism destination in North America, Victoria welcomes visitors with hundreds of attractions. The most popular include Butchart Gardens, Beacon Hill Park, the Royal British Columbia Museum and whale watching.

By Air: Victoria is served by the Victoria International Airport (half an hour drive north of the city). Frequent daily float plane and helicopter flights link Victoria to both Vancouver, BC and Seattle, WA.
By Sea: Victoria and Vancouver Island are connected to the BC mainland and Washington State by scheduled vehicle-carrying ferries and passenger-only high-speed catamaran service. Dozens of sailings are available to terminals near Sidney (half an hour drive north of Victoria) and to downtown Victoria.
Local Transportation: When you're in Victoria, transportation is easy, with a good public transit system, rental cars, horse-drawn carriages and lots of choices in-between.
